Pennrose is pleased to announce the promotion of Geoff Milz to regional vice president of the Midwest and Lindsey Samsi to regional vice president of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Both seasoned leaders bring extensive affordable housing development expertise and will oversee the continued growth and execution of Pennrose's development pipeline in their respective regions.
In their roles as regional vice presidents, Samsi and Milz are responsible for all aspects of the real estate development process from initial conception through construction, to lease-up and stabilized occupancy or sale. The promotions reflect Pennrose's commitment to investing in talented team members and meeting the critical need for high-quality affordable housing across the country.
"Throughout their careers at Pennrose, both Lindsey and Geoff have demonstrated exceptional leadership, community collaboration, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to our mission of community transformation," said Charlie Adams, president of development with Pennrose. "Their promotions are a well-deserved recognition of their contributions to Pennrose's success, and we are excited to see them continue to expand their deep local roots and grow Pennrose’s impact across our portfolio."
Lindsey Samsi
Samsi joined Pennrose in 2016 as the company's first assistant developer and has been promoted multiple times throughout her tenure, including most recently serving as senior developer. With more than 10 years of industry experience, Samsi is credited with overseeing the development of several notable projects across the region and oversees a full in-house team of developers.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow with Pennrose over the past decade and am thrilled to take on a new leadership role during an exciting time of growth for the organization," added Samsi. "I’ve seen firsthand how our work can transform lives and entire communities, and I’m thrilled to help continue that meaningful legacy.”
During her time at Pennrose, Samsi has closed more than $500 million in affordable housing development and delivered nearly 700 units, including One Thompson Avenue, a 100% affordable veterans and family housing community in Dover, New Jersey, multiple phases of the comprehensive Sharswood Transformation Plan in Philadelphia, and several phases in Tulsa, Oklahoma as part of the Envison Comanche Plan.
Samsi graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Geography & Urban Studies and Environmental Studies. She is a member of Women in Housing and Finance of Pennsylvania (WHF-PA), the Board of Directors for the Community Partnership School (CPS), the Signature Events Development Committee of the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC), the Board of Directors of the Pennrose Foundation, and is on the Temple University College of Liberal Arts (CLA) Alumni Board.
Geoff Milz
Milz joined Pennrose in 2022 as director of development for the Midwest. An experienced collaborator and relationship builder trained in urban planning and economic development, Milz is passionate about the development and execution of innovative projects that make places better for people. Most recently, Milz oversaw the securement of all sources of funding for the iconic Warner & Swasey factory in Cleveland’s MidTown neighborhood and is actively working to get that deal to closing and redevelopment.
"I'm honored to step into this role and continue advancing Pennrose's important mission in the Midwest," said Milz. "The need for quality, affordable housing has never been greater, and I look forward to working with our team and valued community partners to create more opportunities for working individuals and families across the region."
Prior to joining Pennrose, Milz served Colerain Township, Ohio, as the township administrator, assistant township administrator, and planning director. He also served the City of Covington, Kentucky as the City's development manager and in Cayuga County, New York as senior planner.
