Pennrose announced that the second class of Pennrose employees has graduated from the 2019 Emerging Leaders Workshop. The year-long talent-immersion program is designed to furnish growth opportunities, celebrate successes, and educate the future leaders of Pennrose business. The agenda for each session typically included business updates, time with Senior Management, a case study or book study on relevant leadership issues, several targeted diagnostics, and development planning exercises. The sessions also included leadership and relationship building training, skills practice, and role playing.

The 20 high potential Pennrose employees that participated in the program were selected based on annual performance evaluations, senior management nominations, and other metrics and feedback. A cross-functional representation of talent was comprised of employees from development, management, maintenance, compliance, and shared services. All participants were previously recognized as high-performing talent within the organization.

“The individuals who participated in this program should be proud of their recognition and accomplishments,” said Mark H. Dambly, President of Pennrose. “Each was identified as a potential future leader of Pennrose and we look forward to seeing how they utilize their new skills to support their roles and organization growth.”

Once selected, the Emerging Leaders are enrolled in the year-long talent immersion program. The quarterly workshops are each uniquely designed to examine their role as a leader. Throughout the four workshop sessions, the participants are evaluated on their development plan progress, class participation and engagement, and receive one-to-one executive coaching and a personal feedback summary. Graduates will attend an Executive Development Workshop in 2020 focusing on vision, alignment, execution and career development. 

The final session and graduation ceremony was celebrated at the historic Union League of Philadelphia. Graduates finished their individual development plan and shared their personal leadership findings and leadership vision to the group. Pennrose owners and senior leaders attended to celebrate this success. Pennrose plans to announce the Class of 2020 Emerging Leaders Workshop participants at the beginning of January.
