Herndon Square II will be a 201-unit family, mixed-income rental community in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The development will be comprised of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, providing quality housing for residents across all income levels. 170 of the apartments will carry income restrictions (ranging from 30% to 80% AMI), with a number of units requiring Project-Based Vouchers through Atlanta Housing’s HomeFlex program.

Herndon Square II is the second phase of Herndon Square, the master-planned, mixed-income redevelopment of the former Herndon Homes public housing community. The Herndon Square multi-phase development plan envisions a transformational and high impact strategy for furthering access to quality affordable housing while creating a vibrant, healthy and sustainable mixed-use and mixed-income community. Herndon Square II involves a joint venture between the Atlanta Housing Authority, Hunt Companies and Oakwood Development Group, with Pennrose serving as the Development Project Manager and Property Manager.
