The Pennrose Foundation today announced the recipients of its first round of 2026 grants, awarding funding to eight organizations working to strengthen communities and create positive social impact.

First Round Grant Recipients

Govans Ecumenical Development Corporation (GEDCO) received funding to support its work providing food assistance, homelessness prevention, financial assistance, and case management to individuals and families in Baltimore City facing food insecurity and housing instability.

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia was awarded a grant to support its affordable housing development and home repair programs serving low-income homebuyers and homeowners throughout Philadelphia County.

Art with a Heart received funding to advance its work using visual arts to improve well-being and strengthen communities. The Baltimore-based organization serves children, adults, and seniors throughout Baltimore City.

Community Action Development Allentown (CADA) was awarded funding to support youth development, neighborhood revitalization, and community engagement initiatives serving youth and families in Center City Allentown.

Greater Cleveland Food Bank received funding to support its food distribution and hunger relief efforts serving food-insecure residents across six counties in Northeast Ohio.

OUR Center was awarded a grant to support programs providing food, housing, childcare, and self-sufficiency assistance to low-income families throughout the St. Vrain Valley.

Brewerytown Sharswood Community Civic Association received funding to support food distribution, youth enrichment, and resident engagement efforts serving residents in affordable housing communities in Philadelphia's Brewerytown and Sharswood neighborhoods.

Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley was awarded funding to support its work granting wishes and providing family support services for children with critical illnesses throughout its Pennsylvania and Delaware service area.

The Pennrose Foundation is now accepting applications for its second round of grants. Organizations interested in applying should visit pennrosefoundation.org for detailed application guidelines and requirements. The application window closes October 31, 2026.
