Pennrose Completes 2,500 Affordable Homes in Maryland
Pennrose is proud to celebrate over 20 years of affordable housing development and management in Maryland with the completion of the Cherry Hill Senior Manor rehabilitation. Located in the Cherry Hill neighborhood of South Baltimore, the 62+ community was substantially renovated to provide residents with modern amenities and upgraded apartment features to deliver the highest quality living experience.
Cherry Hill Senior features 80 open-concept, one- and two-bedroom apartments with brand-new appliances, walk-in closets, private balconies, and oversized windows. Residents also benefit from access to top-notch on-site amenities, including an inviting club room, fitness center, salon, nurse’s office, grocery delivery, and more. As part of the renovation, the 2001-built community received a new roof, new flooring and windows, and HVAC and security improvements.
The completion of the comprehensive Cherry Hill Senior Manor renovation marks more than two decades of Pennrose’s affordable housing investment in Maryland. Since entering the region in 2000, Pennrose has delivered more than 2,500 high-quality homes across 33 developments in six counties. Pennrose remains committed to meeting the state’s demand for affordable housing with more than 1,000 units across Maryland currently in the pipeline.
“We are proud to provide thousands of low-income and working families across Maryland with high-quality, affordable homes and tailored on-site supportive services and resources to help residents build fulfilling lives,” said Marsha Blunt, Pennrose Management Company President.
“As one of our first projects in the region, the Cherry Hill Senior rehabilitation is a full circle moment, and we look forward to continued development and partnership in the state for many years to come,” said Patrick Stewart, Pennrose Regional Vice President.
