The Pennrose Foundation announced that seven residents of Pennrose communities were awarded higher education scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year. Financial support ranged from $2,000 to $5,000 based on the program and academic goals of the individuals.

The students, who are pursuing some form of higher education in college, trade/professional school, or institute, were selected based on their academic performance and character references. They reside at the following Pennrose communities: Liberty Place at Fort Lee, Heritage at Alexander Hamilton, Jefferis Square, Overlook, Greens at Avenel, and Hopes Crossing.

“We continue to grow our scholarship program each year, through increasing the number of students included or increasing the financial support each receives,” said Mark H. Dambly, President of the Pennrose Foundation and Pennrose. “It is exciting to see some of the students that we have provided scholarships to over the past few years achieving their academic goals.”

In addition to the academic scholarships, Pennrose Foundation also provides scholarships for youths who reside in affordable communities to attend summer camp. The Pennrose Foundation also established a COVID-19 Resident Relief Fund to provide support to residents adversely impacted by the ongoing pandemic.
