Pennrose’s Lopa Kolluri Joins New Jersey Future Board of Trustees

Lopa Kolluri, vice president of operations, Pennrose Properties, LLC, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of New Jersey Future. New Jersey Future trustees are committed to advancing smart growth throughout the state of New Jersey, and professionals who represent a range of companies and organizations that support and promote positive growth in the Garden State.

“New Jersey Future has been instrumental in helping to define responsible land-use policies that promote purposeful development through smart land-growth and use,” said Kolluri. “I’m honored to be on its board and to join an esteemed group of individuals.”

Based in Trenton, New Jersey, New Jersey Future was founded in 1987 as a nonprofit nonpartisan organization with the goal of advancing smarter land-use and growth policies. Today, the organization focuses on issues related to the areas of planning and governance, development and redevelopment, environment and agriculture, and transportation.

In 2013 Kolluri joined Pennrose Properties, one of the nation’s leading multifamily and mixed-use real estate developers.  Kolluri provides strategic direction to Pennrose Properties, while also overseeing   day to day operations for the development activities currently underway in 12 states throughout the eastern U.S. Prior to joining Pennrose Kolluri was Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where she managed and coordinated HUD’s program and policies across divisions within the Department. Kolluri also served on the Federal Taskforce for Hurricane Sandy as liaison to New Jersey. Prior to HUD, Kolluri served as Assistant State Treasurer for Economic Development under Governor Jon Corzine.  Kolluri has also held other positions in New Jersey state government.
