Duties/responsibilities:Dan Flamini, CPM, director of maintenance for Pennrose Management Company (PMC), was recently appointed as a board member of the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA). The non-profit association represents owners, builders, suppliers, developers and managers of the multi-family housing industry in New Jersey. As a board member, Flamini will be actively involved in meeting NJAA’s objectives and goals to enhance the level of professionalism within the industry by providing education, networking opportunities and other services that benefit its members. “I am extremely honored and excited to serve on NJAA’s board,” said Flamini. “Establishing new techniques and practices in the development and management of multi-family housing has always been important to Pennrose and me. I look forward to working with the board to further develop and execute a strategy to advance the apartment industry in New Jersey.” Flamini joined Pennrose Management Company in 2008 as regional vice president of operations for New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia market. In 2009, he became director of maintenance, overseeing facility maintenance for the company’s entire portfolio with an estimated worth of more than $1 billion, and for third-party managed properties. He is responsible for all annual capital improvement projects (totaling approximately $5 million annually), asset preservation, service contract management, deregulated utility contract management and insurance mitigation. In addition to managing five regional maintenance specialists, Flamini provides guidance on major asset renovation, building energy management solutions, safety protocols, emergency procedures and facility management best practices.
