There will soon will be something new in Old New Castle, Delaware. The opening of The Garrison in Historic Old New Castle, Delaware, will be the first new apartment complex constructed in the area since 2010 and will provide 120 modern one and two-bedroom units. Situated on the picturesque Delaware River and within the city’s walkable historic district, The Garrison is poised to become a prime living destination.

Residents will enjoy all the benefits associated with vibrant downtown Old New Castle, such as dining, cultural activities and local shopping. Within walking proximity of the heart of the historic city, Garrison residents will easily be able to enjoy the variety of local businesses and cultural activities the area is renowned for. A proposed boardwalk from The Garrison would connect to the community trail along the Delaware River, providing a valuable link for area residents to Battery Park and the river.

At home, residents will have access to a host of high-quality amenities, include a tricked-out roof deck with stunning river views, fire pits and a grill/bar area, club room, fitness center, business center, billiards room, covered parking and even a pet spa and other pet-friendly features. The modern interiors will feature granite countertops, stainless steel ENERGY STAR® appliances, and balconies for alfresco living and dining.

We look forward to becoming a part of the Old New Castle community. As a long-term owner and manager, it is important to develop relationships with our neighbors and be a good corporate citizen. The Garrison was proud to sponsor and be a part of several Old New Castle community events, including the May Market Plant and Garden Sale and the Summer Concert Series.

The opening of The Garrison has the potential to be a catalyst for economic development and growth in the area. Pennrose is fully committed to the Delaware region, and we look forward to executing our long-term vision to build superb developments that positively impact the lives of residents and foster overall economic growth.
