RICHARD A. GOWER

Richard Gower is Chief Financial Officer for Pennrose Properties, LLC, and Pennrose Management Company.

In this capacity, Mr. Gower is responsible for all financial affairs of the companies, including new and existing banking and investor relationships; interfacing with accounting firms for all of the Pennrose entities and interfacing and regulatory compliance with HUD and other housing finance agencies.   In addition, his responsibilities include oversight of the entire accounting staff, for development applications and mortgage requisitioning processes, accounts payable functions, and reporting requirements for all properties in the Pennrose portfolio.

Before assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2004, Mr. Gower served as President of Pennrose Management Company since 1995 where, in addition to various financial responsibilities, he directed the Management Company's operations, and pursued new business opportunities.

Prior to joining Pennrose, Mr. Gower was a partner in a certified public accounting firm and specialized in the affordable housing industry.   In that capacity, he was responsible for the audits of numerous operating entities as well as various development related issues.   He also served numerous clients in other industries such as finance, manufacturing and construction, in addition to having other administrative responsibilities within the firm.  

Mr. Gower graduated in 1977 from King's College, after also having attended the Pennsylvania State University.   He obtained his CPA certificate in November 1977.   He has successfully completed work on a number of compliance-related designations issued by various organizations.   He has also served as a lecturer to numerous professional and business organizations.

Mr. Gower was a co-founder of the Pennsylvania-Delaware Affordable Housing Management Association (PennDel AHMA) and currently serves that Organization in the capacities of Director and Treasurer.
